The scope of the works includes operation, maintenance and alteration, addition, improvement and replacement works of air-conditioning installations for venues of the Hong Kong Police Force, Correctional Services Department, Fire Services Department, Independent Commission Against Corruption and Security Bureau in Hong Kong Cluster.
Work that also includes innovative technologies includes 3D scanning technology, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Electromechanical Equipment Synthesis (MiMEP) and intelligent site safety systems
The contract is scheduled to commence in January 2024 for expiry in December 2026.
EID IWTS Office Alterations and Additional (A&A) Works – HVAC
(Island West & Island East Transfer Stations Second Follow-On Contract (Contract No. EP/SP/169/20))
Description
Improving and upgrading the existing air-conditioning system, electrical and air-conditioning control system replacement for the Hong Kong Island West Transfer Station administration building, including design, supply, transportation, installation, dismantling and commissioning work, to enhance the capacity and efficiency of the air-conditioning system to maximise energy saving and decarbonisation. In addition, Building Information Modelling (BIM) design, planning and control are used to make post-completion maintenance work much more efficient and boost information accuracy. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
Design and Build Extra Low Voltage System and Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning System
(Integrated Waste Management Facilities Phase 1 (Contract No. EP/SP/66/12))
The Integrated Waste Management Facility Phase 1 (I·PARK1) is located on an artificial island adjacent to Shek Kwu Chau. It designs and constructs an incineration facility with a maximum processing capacity of 3,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste per day. The project mainly includes the mechanical and electrical components of the Integrated Waste Management Facility Phase 1 project. Design and construction of ventilation systems, weak current systems, and smart building systems in the system. The Extra Low Voltage System (ELV), Integrated Building Management System (iBMS), Odour Control System (OCS), Automatic Traffic Control System (ATCS), etc. are all built using information technologies such as automated control and network information transmission. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.
Transitional Housing Projects
Located at “CONCORDIA Tsat Sing Kong” at Tsat Sing Kong, Pat Heung and Kam Tin, Yuen Long
The projects are located at No. 12 Mu On Street (1B2), Area 1B3, Mu On Street, Kai Tak, and No. 128 Kam Tai Road, Pat Heung, Yuen Long, near Chih Sing Kong Estate. These projects are launching in November and December 2022. Upon completion, it will provide 519, 721 and 909 units respectively (a total of 2,149). They are responsible for providing high-quality M&E system equipment; including low-voltage power supply systems, lighting systems, and weak current in all public locations. and security systems, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, building water supply and drainage systems and fire protection systems, etc. These projects will be completed in the first and second quarter of 2024.
Proposed Data Centre Development No. 2-10, Tai Yuen Street, Kwai Chung, N.T.
Nominated subcontract for supply and installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) system.
Kwai Chung Data Center is a Tier 3 data center, the 19-story data center is capable of accommodating more than 2,000 advanced data racks. The project mainly includes the installation of mechanical and electrical, fire and plumbing systems, and nominated subcontracts for smart building systems. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.
Proposed Temperature Controlled, Automated Warehouse Works at Lots in D.D.111, Pat Heung, Yuen Long – Builder’s Works Nominated Subcontract
Located in Pat Heung, Yuen Long, with a site area of approximately 21,000m2, it is a Nominated Subcontract for a construction project jointly contracted by Quad-Tech and China International Water & Electric Corporation. The project features a high-density and fully automated public logistics and warehousing center. It is one of the current global the largest and tallest single-story fully automated logistics warehouse in Hong Kong, operating with intelligent and automated systems.
Electrical Installation for Public Housing Development at Wu Shan Road, Tuen Mun
The scope includes Electrical installation (capacity: 12x1500KVA); ELV installation, MVAC installation and Automatic Meter Reading System (water meter). Three 35 to 38-storey domestic blocks (total 2,768 flats), 3-storey carpark, retail shops on G/F, kindergarten, various social welfare facilities, estate management office and refuse collection point.
Project to be commenced on Q2 2024 and the anticipated completion date is Q4 2026
